The CHLDC community organizing division promotes affordable housing, educational justice, and neighborhood safety in Cypress Hills and East New York. Through the work of tenant associations and the Home Owners’ Action Group, Cypress Hills Advocates for Education (CHAFE), Future of Tomorrow (F.O.T.), and Weed and Seed, community leaders engage residents in grassroots campaigns to strengthen and improve our neighborhood.

All of our committees are committed to building a strong base of members, growing informed and inspired leadership, fighting for the rights of people in Cypress Hills and East New York, and creating equity and justice throughout New York City. Our work strives to create networks of educated, engaged, passionate, determined, and successful neighborhood leaders who come together to imagine and create a peaceful, healthy, economically strong, and educationally successful community. We hope you will join us!

All community members are welcome to join one of our committees.
