School-Aged After School Programs

CHLDC provides young people with fun, safe recreational activities through our afterschool programming.  All afterschool programs are available to the greater community, with the exception of PS 345 where enrollment is restricted to the students at that school.

The after-school programs run on Monday-Friday from 3-6pm, providing youth with a safe, nurturing environment to spend their afternoons. Every day, participants join in homework help, arts, sports, and community service activities. Homework help makes a clear impact on academic skills-building, and addresses the needs of working parents who may not have time to assist their children with their schoolwork.

At our middle school after-school sites, students and their parents learn about the high school choice process, and early college awareness. Starting in the 7th grade, children and their parents attend high school choice workshops, visit high school fairs and tour college campuses. If you are interested in one of the programs below for your child, please contact the person listed for each site.
