Fresh Food Markets

Building Community. Growing Leaders.

CHLDC manages two fresh food markets – the Friday Youthmarket and the Tuesday Pitkin Verde Farmer’s Market. These markets are affordable and provide access to fresh fruits and vegetables at their prime when they are the tastiest and most nutritious. Both markets accept cash, debit, credit, and EBT.  They distribute $2 Health Bucks for every $5 spent using EBT and to each participant who attends a cooking class or nutrition workshop.

This year our resident farmers at Pitkin Verde will be Mi Ranchito and Pavia Family Farms, both from Hazlet, New Jersey.  Both markets will feature fresh, locally grown produce, nutrition education, SNAP enrollment assistance, voter registration, and a CHLDC resource table. See the flyers below for more details.
