Community Schools
Building Community. Growing Leaders.
A community school is both a place and a set of partnerships between the school and other community resources. Its integrated focus on academics, services, supports, and opportunities leads to improved student learning, stronger families and healthier communities.
At the Franklin K. Lane Campus, we have three Community Schools. At Cypress Hills Preparatory High School and Brooklyn Laboratory High School, we focus on student engagement while at Multicultural High School we focus on family engagement in order to help students and families acculturate into the United States.
