A Space Built for You + Your Family

The Cypress Hills East New York Community Center is a place for neighbors to come together to learn, move, create, and grow. It opened in July 2022 after years of planning by the community. The center offers a variety of programs, resources, and opportunities all in one location in East New York. 

We provide fitness and wellness activities, youth development programs, career pathways, and cultural events. Everything we offer reflects the needs and interests of the people who visit us.

Where Young Minds Begin to Grow

Our youth programs are designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence at an early age. From after-school enrichment and homework help to hands-on STEM activities and arts programming, children have a safe and supportive space to learn, explore, and grow. We offer a variety of activities, including low-impact fitness classes like Zumba, meditation and mindfulness sessions, recreational games such as ping pong, and communal meals that foster a sense of community. Our Silver Saturdays program helps older adults remain active, engaged, and connected in a friendly environment. This initiative provides participants with the opportunity to build friendships, maintain their health, and enjoy meaningful experiences each week.

The Cypress Hills East New York Community Kitchen is a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen located right inside the Community Center, designed to help food entrepreneurs turn ideas into thriving businesses. The program supports chefs, caterers, makers, and culinary startups with affordable access to professional kitchen space, storage, and the tools needed to grow. Whether you're launching your first product, scaling production, or building a food brand from the ground up, participants can also take advantage of free classes and workshops focused on business growth, marketing, and operations, along with one-on-one consulting, distribution guidance, incubator resources, and cold, dry, and freezer storage, creating a seamless space to produce, scale, and succeed. The Community Kitchen is ideal for bakers, beverage brands, caterers, private chefs, packaged goods (CPG) businesses, meal prep companies, food trucks and mobile vendors, restaurateurs, vegan brands, wellness products, and local farmers and producers.

Kitchen Incubator Program

Our kitchen serves as an incubator for culinary businesses that need licensed commercial cooking space and practical support to grow sustainably. Participants gain access to professional production space, storage, commercial-grade equipment, and business development resources designed to help entrepreneurs strengthen operations and scale with confidence. Whether you're testing a new concept, increasing production capacity, preparing for retail opportunities, or expanding your customer base, the Community Kitchen provides the tools, guidance, and supportive environment needed to take your business to the next level.
