Eric James has been an important part of CHLDC FOREVER!!! Eric is a youth development, community, and nonprofit leader. He is a role model to young people in East New York. Eric worked as the Director of InterGenerational Services and the Beacon Recreation Director at IS302 for over 20 years and was promoted to Beacon Director for JHS 218 in 2018.
As the Beacon Director, he plans and supervises after-school, summer camp, recreation, and arts programs for 2,000 East New York residents, young and old, every year - - all the while building bridges between the school, community, and young people.
